Established in 2007, Arkx Investment Management (Arkx) is the Australian-based investment manager of the Arkx Clean Energy Fund (the Fund).
Arkx is 30% owned by Ascalon Capital Managers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westpac Banking Corporation.
Social Ventures Australia is also a minority shareholder in Arkx and through its ThirdLink Growth Fund invests in the Fund.
The objective of the Fund is to deliver attractive, long term returns through investing in global, listed, clean energy companies that are benefiting from the increasingly rapid global transition to a low-carbon economy.
The achievement of these objectives is focused around an investment approach which aims to capture opportunities that exist as a result of the growth in energy demand, risks relating to energy security and the increased focus on climate change.
The investment framework utilised by the Fund is centred on a robust 5 stage process which is explained in more detail under Investment Philosophy.
Arkx is a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) and a member of the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) and the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC).
The Arkx management team has considerable experience with building investment businesses and a deep knowledge of the rapidly evolving global clean energy sector.
